Window to the World

We come as windows to the world our trainers say.

Little do they know we are as dirty and broken as they.

How can I serve as the glass through which to see,

All that has shaped the person that is me?

Translucent and fragile,

I barely keep up. In these times I wish I was more agile.

Speed is a need, but patience is the lesson.

Poco a poco, this reliance I lessen.

A world to them; as they to me.

We become grateful for this vision, a chance to see.
